The variety was bred by specialists of the Research Institute for Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs. It possesses specific resistance genes to fungal diseases, in particular Rpv3 and Rpv12 for downy mildew and Ren3 for powdery mildew.

The plant is suitable for long pruning, tolerates drought conditions well and does not have high requirements for soil type. The need for green operations is assessed as medium.

The grapes are intended for wine production. The harvest has a pleasant, slightly spicy taste and a rich aroma. Due to the variety's tendency for rapid reduction of titratable acidity, careful monitoring of harvest dates is required.
