The variety is characterized by a late ripening period and high growth vigor. The vines are high-yielding and drought-tolerant, but susceptible to Botrytis cinerea. The flower is hermaphroditic.
The leaf is medium-sized, pentagonal, and deeply lobed. Bunches are medium-sized, pyramidal or conical in shape, and of medium density. Berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, yellow-green or emerald in color with a waxy bloom and fleshy-juicy pulp.
Wines from this variety possess pronounced acidity and minerality with characteristic notes of apple, citrus, and wildflowers. The variety is used in the creation of Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Torchiato di Fregona DOC wines.
