In the first case, Verdić is identified with the Glera variety. It is a vigorous wine grape variety of late maturity with perfect flowers. Bunches are medium or large, elongated-conical. Berries are medium, round, and golden-yellow in color. The variety provides stable yields, possesses moderate disease resistance, and is prone to shatter.

In the second case, Verdić is an independent autochthonous grapevine variety from the coastal part of Croatia. It is used in blends for the production of the local white wine "Kastavska Belica". The variety forms large bunches and is valued for its ability to produce high-quality must.
