The variety is a wine grape used for the production of white wines. It is characterized by high fertility and the ability to adapt to various soil types. The plant is vigorous and has a long vegetation cycle, which classifies it as a late-maturing variety.

Ripe clusters consist of medium-sized yellowish-green berries. Wines from this variety are light, easy-drinking, and fresh, with delicate fruity notes and moderate to good acidity. In hot climates, the wines may have a higher alcohol content.

The name Verdosilla may also be used as a synonym for the Verdil variety, which requires verification of the genetic identity of planting material upon purchase.
