The variety is autochthonous to Greece and is the product of a natural cross between the Albanello variety and an unknown parent. It belongs to the category of wine grape varieties used in winemaking to create both monovarietal wines and blends in the PDO Peza and Sitia regions.
The plant exhibits vigorous growth and high yield, but is susceptible to fungal diseases. The letter B in the name indicates the white-green color of the berry skin.
Wines from this variety are characterized by moderate acidity and a fresh taste with notes of lemon, orange, pear, jasmine flowers, and herbs. Modern winemaking methods allow for the production of structural and aromatic beverages from this grape.
