Variety description

10 August 2026

The Škrlet variety (synonym Vinek Žuti) originates from Croatia and is typical for the Moslavina, Pokuplje, and Prigorje-Bilogora regions. The variety name derives from the German word for "scarlet" due to the characteristic reddish spots that appear on the berry skin upon reaching full maturity.

The plant is characterized by vigorous vine growth and stable yields ranging from moderate to high. The variety has moderate resistance to common grapevine diseases and is used to create elegant white wines with floral and hay-like notes.
