Viona belongs to the group of fungus-resistant varieties (PIWI). Genetically, the variety is related to the Viognier grape, which is reflected in the organoleptic properties of the resulting wine.

This variety is characterized by an early ripening period. Wines from Viona grapes are distinguished by an aromatic profile with bright floral notes and a pronounced acidity characteristic of the 'crisp' wine category.
