The variety is the result of a spontaneous cross between Heben and Albillo Mayor. The berries have white skin. Traditionally, the vines were grown as bush vines, which is associated with the origin of the variety's name.

The variety is early-ripening and characterized as low-yielding. It is used exclusively for technical purposes for the production of wines with low alcohol content, possessing floral, citrus, and mineral notes.

The variety is used in organic and biodynamic winemaking. In specialized registers, the variety is distinguished as an independent one, different from the Xarel·lo variety.
