The variety forms small clusters with small berries on medium-vigor vines with an upright shoot habit. Characterized by low yield. Due to early ripening, the variety often avoids the effects of extreme heat in late summer.
The plant is not resistant to rot, is sensitive to oidium and moderately susceptible to mildew. The grapes are primarily used in blends for the creation of white wines and ports, but are also used as a single-varietal component.
Wines from this variety are distinguished by good structure and aging potential. Their aromatic profile includes notes of apricot, peach, white flowers, citrus fruits, and mineral shades.
