The variety was obtained by crossing Ugni blanc and Rayon d'Or. It is a vigorous plant with large, conical, dense clusters and small, round, yellow-green or golden berries with firm skin. The variety is prone to overcropping and shatter, requiring cluster thinning.
The plant possesses high frost resistance, tolerating temperatures down to -25...-28°C, and increased resistance to downy mildew with moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew. Late bud break protects the variety from spring frosts.
Wines from this variety are characterized by a fruit-forward profile with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, apricot, and honeysuckle. Due to balanced sugar and acidity levels, the grape is suitable for creating dry, semi-sweet, and dessert wines, as well as distillates.
