The vines of the variety have vigorous growth and require regular pruning. The leaf is five-lobed, medium or deeply dissected, with arachnoid pubescence on the underside. The flower is bisexual. The bunch is medium-sized or large, weighing 180–230 g, conical in shape, ranging from loose to medium density.
The berries are medium-sized, ranging from ovoid to semi-oval in shape, black in color with thin skin rich in pigments. The variety is fairly resistant to fungal diseases, however, it is sensitive to Botrytis and frosts, which requires covering in northern viticulture regions.
A wine grape variety intended for the production of dry red wines and juices. The wines are distinguished by a saturated color ranging from dark ruby to almost black, high acidity, and notes of chocolate, spices, and ripe fruits that develop during aging.
