In ampelography, Vrbanjka is a synonym for the wine grape variety Bogdanuša. It is a late-ripening variety with medium to large, cylindro-conical bunches, often with a pronounced wing. The berries are medium-sized, round or oval, with thick skin colored yellowish-white or golden-yellow.

The variety is characterized by vigorous growth and productivity. It possesses some resistance to fungal diseases, but is sensitive to gray mold, flower abortion, and millerandage. It is used to produce white wines with aromas of anise, quince, yellow plum, and floral notes, and is often used in blends.

Vrbanjka also acts as a trade name for a specific vineyard for the production of wine from the Blaufränkisch variety in Slovenia. In this context, the name is not a separate botanical variety, but indicates the origin of the raw material from old vines on limestone-clay soils.
