The variety was traditionally cultivated in the coastal regions of Croatia. Historically, it was used in blends for the production of local sparkling wines, such as «Bakarska vodica». Currently, efforts are underway to restore the variety and return it to active viticultural use.

In official records, the variety is included in the lists of species authorized for cultivation and use in winemaking within Croatia and EU countries. In several sources, it is mentioned in the context of the «Malvasia» group of varieties; however, the variety requires separate ampelographic identification.

Data on exact morphological characteristics of the vine, yield level, ripening time, and disease resistance are not presented in open sources due to the rarity of the variety and its focus on local rather than industrial use.
