For container cultivation of Tiarella, containers with a depth and diameter of 30 to 45 cm are suitable, provided they are equipped with a drainage layer. The substrate used should be rich in humus and moisture-retentive, yet possess high permeability, as water stagnation is detrimental to the plant's root system.

Container care requires maintaining uniform soil moisture, as drying out leads to rapid leaf damage; however, during the winter period, watering must be restricted to prevent root rot. In cold winter conditions, containers require protection from freezing, and the plant itself needs division every 3–5 years to prevent excessive root overcrowding within the limited volume.

Since Tiarella actively produces stolons, it is recommended to prioritize compact, clumping cultivars when growing in containers. This helps maintain the aesthetic appearance of the arrangement for longer and slows down the plant's growth beyond the container's capacity.
