The variety is a dwarf shrub up to 0.4 meters in height with a flat or flat-globose crown shape. Small leaves have a red color with a yellow border, although a number of sources describe them as green-yellow with orange young shoots. In spring, the plant blooms with small yellow flowers; in autumn, it forms fruits.
The plant prefers sunny locations and is undemanding regarding soil composition. The variety is recommended for use in home gardens, rock gardens, and for cultivation in containers.
