FERCIANA is a clonal rootstock for peach, nectarine, apricot, and plum. In breeding, it is classified as a complex interspecific hybrid involving plum and peach and does not belong to the group of Prunus davidiana and Prunus persica hybrids.

As a rootstock, it provides a semi-dwarfing growth habit, restricting tree development by approximately 25% compared to the vigorous GF-677 rootstock. It promotes early onset of bearing and an increase in fruit size.

The rootstock is well-adapted to fertile soils. It possesses resistance to certain species of nematodes, however, it is characterized by sensitivity to bacterial canker.
