Variety description

The rootstock is a clone selected from the original M.9 form. It has dwarf vigor, which can be slightly higher than that of the M.9 NAKB 337 clone. The root system is shallow and brittle, which is why trees require constant support in the form of trellises or stakes throughout their lifespan.

Distinctive features include good rooting in stoolbeds, where productivity reaches up to 5 layers per plant. The rootstock promotes early bearing of grafted varieties in the 2nd–3rd year and high yields. The level of susceptibility to fire blight is similar to other M.9 clones.

This rootstock is intended for establishing high-density orchards and restricting the growth of vigorous varieties. It is demanding in terms of soil fertility, requires regular irrigation due to sensitivity to drought, and needs protection in regions with severe snowless winters.
