Variety description

10 August 2026

Trees on this rootstock reach 1.5–2 meters in height, which is about 15–20% of the size of a tree on a vigorous seedling rootstock. The rootstock is used for establishing high-density orchards, container growing, and small gardens.

The plant is resistant to root rot but susceptible to woolly apple aphid and fire blight. Due to weak anchorage and a small root system size, trees require permanent support, regular irrigation, and high-quality maintenance, including mulching.

It is propagated vegetatively by layering, with the propagation process considered difficult. The variety induces fruit-bearing in the 1–2 year after planting; however, due to very low vigor, the rootstock is rarely used in commercial orcharding.
