The variety is a local Italian plant included in the germplasm of the Campania region, primarily grown in the province of Caserta. Its fruits are used for the production of olive oil, including that with the protected geographical indication Olio Campania.

During research, the variety was characterized as one of the most energetic and vigorous types among the samples studied. The plant possesses a distinct specific profile characteristic of varieties adapted to the conditions of the local terroir.
