The name AZEITERA is used in Portugal and border regions of Spain, often associated with the Manzanilla Cacereña variety. It is an early-bearing tree with fruit that matures from mid-November to December.
Ripe fruit has a black color, medium to large size, a spherical asymmetric shape, and a high pulp content. The resulting oil possesses herbaceous, spicy, and bitter notes, and the olives themselves are valued for good digestibility.
The variety adapts to various climatic conditions and exhibits frost tolerance. However, it shows poor resistance to drought periods and soils with a high alkaline content.
