Variety description

10 August 2026

The BAMBINA variety is a local genotype from the Apulia region and belongs to the minor category. This tree possesses pronounced resistance and low maintenance requirements to various environmental conditions, which makes it promising for restoring plantations in regions affected by Xylella fastidiosa.

The fruits of the variety are multipurpose, suitable both for olive oil production and for table consumption. BAMBINA oil is distinguished by a high content of phenolic compounds and tocopherols, demonstrating an antioxidant profile comparable to the well-known Coratina variety.
