Bé-de-Cèze is an old local variety from the Ardèche region in France. Currently, it is primarily found in old orchards or collections rather than in mass nursery production. The variety can be used for the production of monovarietal olive oil.
According to the classification of pollination incompatibility systems, the variety belongs to the G1 group. This means that it is self-incompatible and requires cross-pollination with a variety from the G2 group, provided that flowering is synchronous.
