Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has Spanish roots and is widely known in Italy as Bella di Spagna, while in agronomic practice the name often acts as a synonym for the Gordal Sevillano variety. The variety is intended exclusively for table consumption and is rarely used for oil production due to low yield and the rapid oxidation of the product.

The fruits are large, round in shape, green in color, and possess a delicate sweetish taste. The tree is late-maturing and exhibits winter hardiness down to -18 °C. The variety is characterized by alternate bearing and self-incompatibility, which requires the presence of pollinator varieties.
