The name "Oliva Bianca" (or Leucocarpa) refers to a rare variety, the feature of which is that upon full ripening the fruits remain white, resembling ivory in color. This trait is a botanical anomaly, not a product of targeted breeding.
The term "Bianca" in the Italian tradition is often used as a synonym for other local varieties, such as Biancolilla, or to describe fruits at a transitional stage of maturity. Reliable data on the agronomic traits of the commercial variety "Oliva Bianca" are not presented in reference books.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
