The variety is one of the oldest in Sicily, sometimes associated with the Buscionetto group. The fruits have an oval shape and change color during maturation: from an intense green, which lightens, to reddish and purple. The tree leaves are distinguished by a green color with golden hues.
The plant possesses high productivity and enters the fruiting phase early. The variety is well adapted to the conditions of mountainous regions. The oil is distinguished by a light greenish color, contains many antioxidants, and has low acidity.
The organoleptic profile of the oil is dominated by intense fruity notes, including shades of almond, artichoke, green tomato, and freshly cut grass. The taste is characterized as light and sweet with moderate pungency.
