The tree is of medium size with low vigor, an upright canopy of medium density, and elliptic-lanceolate leaves. The fruits are of medium-small weight, less than 2 g, and have a spherical, slightly asymmetric shape. At early stages of development, the fruits have a whitish hue; upon ripening, the color changes from wine-red to black.
The variety has a medium ripening period; the ripening process occurs slowly and unevenly. It possesses high resistance to frost and drought, yet is susceptible to certain fungal diseases and the olive fruit fly. The oil is characterized by a mild taste with fruity and herbal notes with a medium-low oleic acid content.
