The variety is part of the local Spanish gene pool and is used in breeding programs to study seedling development. It has not achieved widespread use for industrial purposes and primarily serves as an object of research in phytopathology and genetics.
The plant possesses high susceptibility to the Verticillium wilt pathogen Verticillium dahliae, which is confirmed by low survival rates in contaminated soil conditions. Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by a highly rough surface of the fruit stone.
