Variety description

10 August 2026

Borgese is an ancient variety historically cultivated in Calabria. It is used as a secondary variety, typically accounting for no more than 30% of the composition of olive oil when blended with the primary variety Carolea.

In scientific studies, the variety is characterized as resistant to the effects of Verticillium dahliae, which causes verticillium wilt in olive trees.
