A variety named Blanco does not exist. In olive production, this term usually denotes the stage of fruit maturity or is used as a marketing name for products, rather than as a varietal classification.

Most likely, it refers to the Nevadillo Blanco variety — a vigorous tree with a spreading crown, adapted to difficult conditions. Its oval-shaped fruits weigh 3–4 g, contain 18–22% oil, and are used both for oil extraction and as table olives.

It is also possible that the name is associated with the Hojiblanca variety, which received its name due to the silvery-white color of the underside of the leaf. This variety is widespread in Spain and is used for oil production and as a table product.
