Variety description

The tree is characterized by medium vigor and an open canopy shape. The leaves are elliptic-lanceolate in shape and medium in size. The variety is prone to alternate bearing. The fruits are small or medium in size, have a characteristic elongated asymmetrical shape, and turn deep black upon ripening, forming clusters.

The variety is resistant to the olive fruit fly and Verticillium wilt, but is sensitive to olive knot. The plant tolerates drought and unfavorable soil conditions well, including salinity. In scientific literature, the variety is classified as sensitive to low temperatures.

Oil from this variety possesses an intense fruity aroma and a balanced flavor with slight bitterness and pungency. In addition to industrial use for oil production, the fruits are sometimes used as a table product.
