The variety is native to the northern regions of Greece and was formed through folk selection. It belongs to the table-use type, and the fruits are valued for their high flesh-to-pit ratio, which is approximately 9:1.
The fruits have an oblong, conical-cylindrical shape with a pointed tip and weigh from 4 to 14 grams. At technical maturity, the color varies from bright green to greenish-yellow, and at full maturity, from dark olive to brown.
The variety is early-maturing; harvesting is carried out from mid-September to October. The fruit flesh is firm and has a mild fruity flavor with a slight bitterness and a piquant acidity.
