The variety is intended for consumption, although its potential as a table variety has not been sufficiently studied. The fruits have a regular spherical shape and acquire a burgundy hue upon ripening.
Trees of this variety are sensitive to olive fruit fly infestation. In cultivation, the variety is considered an old local heritage, often found in orchards as individual specimens surrounded by other varieties.
