The tree has an upright-spreading form and a dense crown, cultivated at altitudes of up to 800 meters above sea level. The leaves are elliptic-lanceolate in shape and dark green in color. The fruits are obovate, slightly asymmetrical, with a "nipple," turning wine-black upon full ripening and reaching a weight of 2.3–3 grams.
The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of other varieties for pollination, and also exhibits alternate bearing. The plant is characterized by good resistance to diseases such as olive knot and peacock spot. The oil obtained from the fruits is distinguished by a pronounced fruity taste and aroma.
