The Grossal del Pallars tree is vigorous and demonstrates moderate productivity with pronounced alternate bearing. The variety belongs to the early maturity group. Fruits are large, oval-shaped, and have a characteristic protrusion ('nipple') at the apex.

The primary purpose of the variety is olive oil production. The resulting product is distinguished by a high content of oleic acid and a significant level of polyphenols, which provides the oil with a long shelf life and an intense green olive fruity aroma.
