The variety is characterized by high growth energy, with the canopy volume of young trees significantly exceeding the average indicators of other varieties. Genetically, the variety is distinct and has an affinity with wild olive forms. It belongs to the minor varieties, rarely used in the production of olive oil with a protected geographical indication.
The plant is classified as highly sensitive to the fungus Verticillium dahliae. In addition to olive oil production, the variety is considered a potential source of wood.
