The Minucciolo tree is characterized by medium to medium-high growth vigor, a moderately dense canopy of ascending shape with drooping branches. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties. Harvesting of the fruits, the color of which changes from green to violet-black upon ripening, is usually carried out in October-November.
The plant possesses high resistance to adverse conditions, including drought and low temperatures. It demonstrates immunity to peacock spot and olive powdery mildew, however, it remains susceptible to olive fruit fly infestation.
The variety is valued for its high oil yield (from 20% to 22%). The resulting product possesses a fruity flavor with bitter notes of almond, tomato, artichoke, and broom, as well as a characteristic spiciness.
