Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an ancient olive cultivar, including the Sicilian type from the province of Messina and the Minuta di Chiusi variety from Tuscany. The plant is described as hardy, exhibiting resistance to low temperatures, the olive fruit fly, and olive knot (Pseudomonas savastanoi).

Oil obtained from the fruits of this variety has a delicate taste with fruity and floral notes, low acidity, and a high content of antioxidants, including polyphenols and vitamin E. Harvesting is usually carried out in October–November, and the variety can demonstrate a specific reaction to temperature conditions during the flowering period.
