The Olivago (Olivago Sabino) variety is cultivated primarily in the provinces of Rieti and Rome. The plant's fruits are characterized by an oblong, elongated shape. The purpose of the variety is the production of olive oil, and it is used in blends with the protected designation of origin D.O.P. Sabina.
Regarding resistance to pathogens, the variety exhibits dual characteristics: high susceptibility to Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae) has been noted, along with low susceptibility to olive leaf spot (Spilocaea oleagina).
