Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is distinguished by vigorous growth, medium height, and a characteristic drooping crown shape, from which it received its name. Leaves are green. Fruits have an elongated shape, becoming black at the stage of full maturity. The variety possesses a high flesh-to-pit ratio and large fruit size.

Pennulara belongs to late-maturing varieties and is capable of self-pollination. When affected by Verticillium wilt, the tree demonstrates a milder disease progression compared to other varieties. The variety is used both for human consumption and for producing oil with an intense fruity aroma.
