Variety description

10 August 2026

The PESCIATINO variety is traditional to Tuscany, where its cultivation has been known since the late Middle Ages. In literature, the variety may be mentioned as a synonym for Arnasca, or considered in the context of the Leccino group, although genetically it is often distinguished as a separate specimen or closely related type.

The plant belongs to the species Olea europaea L. and is adapted to the local soil and climatic conditions of the Pistoia region. The primary purpose of the variety is olive oil production. Detailed agronomic indicators, such as yield or precise ripening dates, are represented to a limited extent in general reference works.
