Olea europaea L. Olive · Fruit crops

Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree is characterized by a compact crown and moderate growth, making it promising for intensive and super-intensive plantings. The variety shows good resistance to cold and drought, allowing the crop to be grown in unfavorable areas at altitudes up to 600 meters above sea level. Resistance to the olive fruit fly and olive knot (Pseudomonas savastanoi) is rated as medium.

Fruits are medium to large in size, weighing 2–3 g, and have an oval shape with a characteristic protrusion at the apex. Ripening is late and prolonged; the harvest usually takes place in mid-November. The variety enters production early and is noted for its stable yield.

The golden-yellow oil has a light fruity flavor with notes of grass, almond, tomato, or artichoke. Due to the significant size of the fruits and a small pit, the variety is dual-purpose and, in addition to oil production, is suitable for use as a table olive for brining or pickling.
