The tree is distinguished by a dense crown with drooping but upward-growing branches. The fruits have an ellipsoidal or nearly spherical shape with a high pulp-to-pit ratio. The optimal harvesting time is in mid-November.
The variety has low sensitivity to winter frosts, while showing medium susceptibility to the olive fruit fly and the fungal leaf disease "peacock spot". It requires the planting of pollinator varieties for fruiting.
The resulting oil is characterized by an aromatic profile with notes of vanilla and red fruits, a medium polyphenol content, and good fluidity. The variety is often used in blends for the production of oil with the protected designation of origin Sabina DOP.
