The variety is of ancient Italian origin and is typical of the Campania region. The trees are characterized by medium or above-medium vigor and a spreading-erect canopy type.
The variety is highly susceptible to the olive fruit fly and the fungal disease peacock spot, as well as low resistance to olive knot. The oil obtained is characterized by medium intensity of fruity aroma, bitterness, and pungency.
