The plant forms a densely branched pyramidal crown, reaching a height of 3–5 meters. Genetically and phenotypically, the variety is identical to a number of other varieties grouped under "Heimanns". The fruits ripen in the period from mid-June to early July.
The berries are large, dark red, almost black in color, have juicy flesh and intensely colored juice, and separate well from the pit. The taste is sour with a distinct aroma. The variety is characterized by high yield and self-fertility.
The plant possesses resistance to Monilinia, but can be affected by bacterial canker, therefore it is recommended for regions with a dry climate. The variety is also susceptible to black cherry aphid infestation.
