The variety is classified as winter; the fruits are harvested in October and stored until January-February. The fruits are large, obovate-pyriform in shape, with green skin that acquires a golden-yellow hue with a red blush upon ripening. The flesh is firm and coarse, which makes the variety suitable exclusively for preparing desserts, poaching in wine, caramelizing, or baking.
The trees are characterized by vigorous growth and good winter hardiness down to -20°C. The variety is a triploid and is not self-fertile, requiring pollinators to form a crop. Due to their significant weight, the fruits are prone to dropping before reaching technical maturity. The variety has been historically used in breeding as a parent form.
