The variety is a very old cultivar, known since approximately 1690. Trees are characterized by vigorous growth, however, the fruits are prone to dropping before reaching full maturity due to their enormous weight.

The fruits have a broad-pyriform or obovate shape and yellow coloration with a pink blush. The fruit flesh is firm, coarse, and has low juice content, which makes the variety unsuitable for fresh consumption.

Currently, the variety has practically no industrial significance and is extremely rare, found primarily in private collections and pomological gardens as a botanical curiosity.
