The variety is a traditional local plant, widespread in the provinces of Rome and Latina. It is included in the national register of fruit crops as an object of interest for the preservation of the cultural heritage of the region.

Detailed morphological characteristics of the tree and fruit, as well as agronomic indicators in open sources, are absent. It is known that in the past, the variety was traditionally grafted onto wild forms of pear.
