The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and forms a pyramidal crown. The variety is incompatible with quince rootstocks, therefore successful cultivation requires the use of an intermediate interstock or the use of forest pear seedlings as rootstock.

Fruits are medium to large in size, weighing 140–180 g, with a blunt-conical shape. The skin is golden-yellow with russeting and a possible carmine-red blush. The flesh is white, very delicate, buttery, and juicy, with a sweet taste and muscat notes.

The variety is classified as early-autumn: harvest time is in early September, consumption period is September–October. Winter hardiness is rated as average. The variety is not early-bearing, has moderate yield, and can be affected by fire blight.
