The variety is an autumn one, with fruit ripening dates occurring in late September — early October. Fruits are of medium or below-medium size, with a shape varying from obovate-pyriform to oblong. The skin is greenish-yellow in color, a reddish tint may appear on the sunny side, and the surface is covered with numerous dark gray dots or russet spots.

The flesh of the fruits is whitish, semi-tender, melting, and juicy. The taste is sweet, slightly sour, with a distinct aroma. The variety was widely distributed in old orchards of Europe and the eastern part of America, however, it has lost its commercial importance over time.
