The variety «Beurré Hardenpont» (synonyms «Beurré d'Aremberg», «Beurré Kent») belongs to winter pears with a fruit consumption period in December–January. The fruits have an oval shape and are distinguished by a juicy, melting structure and pronounced aroma, which is why the variety is traditionally classified as a dessert variety.

In phytopathological studies, this variety is recognized as susceptible to fire blight, caused by Erwinia amylovora, and is frequently mentioned as prone to this disease, despite isolated contradictory data on moderate fruit resistance under test conditions.
